Cubbon Park is a 200 acre landmark area of Bengaluru city, located within the heart of city in the Central Administrative Area. The Park has over 7000 trees/ shrubs representing 96 species. It has over 40 species of birds anreptilesthat call it home. It was designed to sustain itself using rainwater. Over the last 4 decades, the water needs of the Park were not managed, in-spite of there being ample rains for the natural water table to sustain and the situation in 2017 was that the Horticulture Department was spending Rs 60+ lakh annually, to purchase STP water from BWSSB for the Park’s needs. We will use this 12HourChallenge to create more awareness and fundraise for the cause of Cubbon Park Rejuvenation. Also as an organizer, Protons Sports will be donating 10% of the profit from this event to CPR. Why? Coz Cubbon Park pumps our hearts too.
